Hermitage Palace |

Cimiez Hill, and its beautiful residences, tell us an endless story that connects us to the past, to the architecture of yesteryear. Among these jewels that characterize the city of Nice, it is impossible not to mention the Palais Hermitage. A former hotel, the Hermitage Palace was first transformed into a military hospital during World War I, and then converted into a condominium after World War II. Located in a dominant position at the end of Cimiez Hill, overlooking the city, the port and the castle hill, the Hermitage undoubtedly enjoys the most beautiful location in the city of Nice, with a unique view.

The beautiful balance between its construction, its splendid common areas, and the magnificent park that unfolds at its feet as if wanting to reach the sea, make it a unique site of elegance and majesty.

It is worth mentioning that when the Hermitage Palace-Hotel was built, it was connected by a funicular to another building designed by Charles Dalmas: the Langham Hotel located below – also converted into apartments since then.

The facades of the Hermitage Palace have recently been completely renovated to their original state. The work was carried out by the architect Gilles Gauvain of Architects Studio.

La colline de Cimiez et ses belles résidences nous racontent une histoire sans fin qui nous relie au passé, à l’architecture d’antan. Parmi ces perles rares qui caractérisent la ville de Nice, il est impossible de ne pas parler du Palais Hermitage. Ancien hôtel, le Palais Hermitage fut d’abord transformé en hôpital militaire lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale, puis converti en copropriété après la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Situé en situation dominante tout au bout de la Colline de Cimiez, surplombant la ville, le port et la colline du château, L’ Hermitage bénéficie sans doute du plus bel emplacement de la ville de Nice, et d’une vue unique en son genre.

Le bel équilibre de sa construction, ses splendides parties communes, et le parc magnifique qui se déroule à ses pied comme pour vouloir rejoindre la mer en font un lien, en font un lieu unique d’élégance et de majesté.

À noter qu’à sa construction, l’hôtel Palais Hermitage était relié par un funiculaire à un autre établissement réalisé par Charles Dalmas, l’Hôtel Langham situé en contrebas – également transformé en appartements depuis.

Les façades du Palais Hermitage ont récemment été entièrement rénovées pour retrouver leur état d’origine. Les travaux ont été menés par l’architecte Gilles Gauvain de l’agence Architectes Studio.
