A "Belle Epoque" Palace , XXL Size!
Nice - Cimiez
Built in 1911 by the Société des Wagons-Lits, under the direction of the famous architect Charles Delmas from Nice, the Grand Palais was first of all a hotel.
With its 9 floors in a dominant position at the entrance to the Boulevard de Cimiez, it is the highest palace built in Nice at the Belle Epoque. It is impressive by its dimensions, but also by its mode of construction inspired by the technique “Effeil”. It is a metal frame on which we came to hang a facade in stone facing!
The hotel was completed by a perpendicular annex located below to the east: the Petit Palais
Today the Grand Palais has been converted into a condominium. His apartments have retained all the charm and volumes of the Belle Epoque.
